Feeling Sentimental

The card featured today uses the set Feeling Sentimental (item 129627) from the Sale-a-bration promotion that Stampin Up has on till March 22nd. With every $60 purchase you can earn an item free from the Sale-a-bration brochure. 

The measurements on this card are 6 1/2 x 61/2 and folded in half give you this lovely dimension. I used the Oh Hello set (item 130733) from the Spring Catalogue and used my Real Red and Basic Black marker on the greeting. I love how it turned out don't you?

Sweet Threads Simply Sent Kit

Stampin Up has come out with some very cute kits in the Spring Catalogue and this is one Sweet Threads (item 126924) is one of my favourite. I was surprised how fast it was to cross stitch the little samplers on the front of each card. If cross stitching is not your thing then simply take a marker and make little marks as if you were cross stitching. The card will still look fabulous. Resist Technique

Today is another stormy day in Mid Western Ontario, we had to cancel the class planned for last night but I don't mind as long as everyone stays safe. Today's post was a card brought to a Team Meeting by my friend Bonnie. She showed us this card and told us about a wax paper resist technique. I love the way the background turned out and I tried two different colours of inks to see the different types of contrast. The stamp set I used is called Blooming with Kindness (item 126420). I will be offering this technique in an upcoming class so watch out for it.

Frosty Day

Yesterday was a very clear and Frosty day in our part of Ontario. My husband and I go for a walk every morning and without a doubt this was the most spectacular day of the winter. Check out these photo's from the trees and foliage from our front yard. What was it like in your neck of the woods?

This week I was inspired by all of the Sampler Frames I have seen on-line and decided to make a version of my own. As you can see I used several punches and small stamps to complete the project.

Field Flowers

Recently I heard someone say that it is just as important to stamp the envelope as it is to do the card. I thought about that statement and have decided to do just that when sending out my cards. Pictured here you can see the card stamped with the set Field Flowers and then in the background my envelope is stamped using the stamp set Flowering Flourishes. The next time you stamp why not try to do your envelope too.

I have seen several samples using this design just lately and finally set out to make one myself. Tags

Don't you love receiving a tag on something? I love gifts that have a special tag, clothing with a unique tag and I especially love to make tags to add to something I am giving. When customers get a Stampin Up order from me I always include a handmade tag on the bag. This tag uses the new Chalkboard Technique. I cut the tags using the Two Tags Die Cut (item 115194) and then used white Craft Ink (item 101731) to sponge the edges. The stamp set is called You are Loved (item 123779) and the heart is from the Hearts Framelit Collection (item 125599). Do you see the silver butterfly to the left of the tags? They are using the new Bitty Butterfly punch (item 129406). Have fun making this project.

Little Black Dress

Most of us at one time or another have owned a Little Black Dress worn for special occasions. I can recall one or two of my favourites over the years, so when I saw the stamp set All Dressed Up (item 129174) and the matching framelit called Dress Up (item 130101) I knew exactly what kind of a card I could make with it. I was very pleased with the result, I hope you like it too.

While we are Leadership in Orlando in January Stampin Up announced that during their 25th Anniversary Year they would be coming out with a new stamp set each month.
