Artistic Etchings Retiring

Having recently travelled to Paris this stamp set called Artistic Etchings has new meaning to me. The Eiffel tower is magnificent in person and a nice reminder in a stamp set. We also used this set recently to make the Vintage Sampler in the studio featuring the tower as the focal point in the sampler. Bombs Away

We have had lots of excitement in Midwestern Ontario the last few days! A major ice storm went through our region and left thousands of homes without power. We were one of those homes but our power was restored in a relatively short period of time (18 hours). There are still several communities near our area without power. I know how it felt to be without hydro for a day so I can't imagine being without for 3 days. Hopefully the hydro crews will get it fixed soon! I appreciate all the work they do, they are out in full force and working very hard in adverse weather conditions.

The stamp set you see pictured above are the newest photopolymer stamps by Stampin Up. Read through them and see if they don't make you smile. Fiji Here we Come!

  Yesterday the UPS man came to my house and delivered the parcel you see here below! How exciting to get a parcel! I wondered what could be inside?

I opened the parcel and took a look inside and this lovely burlap clutch was inside the bag. There is a pearlized button on the front and the cutest little Stampin Up emblem made of rubber on the bottom right corner. So now what could be inside this clutch? Ooooh the suspense was killing me.

 Well I took a look inside the bag and there were airline tickets to Fiji, name tags and lanyards, and those cute round circles off to the right are luggage tags. There was also a beautiful booklet telling us all the things we could expect on the trip and some of the various things that will happen. Every page told us where to go each day to get prizes. How exciting is that? Of course the book was all done using MDS (My Digital Studio). So as you may know Stampin Up awards an Incentive Trip each year for those who achieve various goals. Last year I was one of the ones who earned this trip.

Spring Storm

So if you live in Mid Western Ontario this morning you will notice the weather was a little off season! We had plans to go visit a bride on her reception site for an outdoor wedding to discuss her options. Well needless to say we postponed the appointment as it seemed fruitless to discuss these matters on a day like today! Do you remember having snow-days as a child? Wasn't it fun to just goof off for a day? Well that's what I am doing today. No stamping, no classes, just a day of staying indoors watching the weather and cozying up with a good book.
