Pop Up Box Card
Today I have an interesting card for you and it is totally foldable and can be mailed. This type of card seems to be all the rage and I will be holding a class on Friday February 28th at my studio if you would like to try this design. I chose a male themed card for the guys in my family in mind. As far as I am concerned you can never have too many guy type cards, especially in our family as my husband and I only have brothers (10 between the two of us). Add to that three sons and you can see why I gravitate to the male type of card. The Stamp set is one that I've had for years and is now discontinued called Extreme Snowboard, the paper is all Stampin Up DSP. The clouds are cut from the new Stampin Up Framelits called Word Bubbles (132968). The hearts are from the framelits Hearts Collection (125599) and the stars are retired Stampin Up punches. Hope you enjoyed the project, if you would like to make some of these boxes contact me to join the class.

Leadership Conference 2014
Well I am back from Stampin Up's Leadership Conference in Houston Texas and what a great time we had! We started off the event with a General Session on Thursday morning and then attended Share Fair classes on Thursday afternoon for demonstrators by demonstrators. I came away with lots of new ideas. For all the Demonstrators who have the title of Manager or above Stampin Up puts on an event just for them! I was able to attend and we went to the Houston Aquarium. My roommates Jan and Loni (whom I met two years ago in San Antonio, Loni is from Utah, Jan from Kentucky) went with me!
The meal that they put on for us was amazing, we were able to eat outside on the upper deck.
There was lots to see and do at the Aquarium, rides, great food, photo ops, huge aquariums with fish and other sea life, as well as white tigers! Spectacular!
On Friday we again attended classes and learned about some new products coming out this spring. Watch for those announcements here on this blog and at my upcoming Open House Workshops. On Friday night we had a huge stamp event with 1000 women seated at round tables stamping our Make and Takes. All of us got an orange bag with Two Stamps Sets and our Make and Take projects. We spent the evening stamping, watching live presentations, and eating popcorn. Fun fun!
Loni (on the right) had gotten three matching scarves and we wore them each day in various styles with our various outfits and boy did we ever get a lot of comments on them. We received a t-shirt and stamp set from our evening at the Aquarium so one day we had to model them as well. Doesn't it look like we are having fun? The hardest part was finding someone who could take our picture.
On Saturday the final day we again headed over to the Houston Convention Centre and participated in more classes and live presentations. I am telling you Stampin up sure knows how to make the presentations fun! We had a "Game Show" presentation on Saturday that had us all in stitches.
Jan (on the right whom many of you met here in the studio in the fall of 2012) took along fabric flowers and we wore them on our scarves on the final day. When the last session ended we had a bit of free time and so we explored downtown Houston, it was a very nice day at 73F and look at what they do in Houston for fun......
........in the park where we walked they were skating on one side and directly across from that there was a water fountain area where kids were running through the sprinklers.
If you would like to join in on all the fun consider joining my team, contact me for more details.

Catching Up!
Happy New Year to all of you! Are you ready to get started stamping again? We have finished a very busy catering season and have had a good rest and now I am ready to start stamping and holding classes again. Take a look at the picture to see these four girls who were so proud of the fact that they were the first group done their 12 cards in my Stamp a Stack in December even though they were beginner stampers:) Congratulations! Great Job!
The new Occasions Catalogue has also come out a few days ago and there are many new and wonderful products for your paper crafting needs. Let me know if you would like a copy and I will do my best to get one out to you, (Canada only).
I am busy preparing for two Open Houses later this month, Friday January 24th at 7:00pm and Saturday Jan 25th at 1:00pm. The Open House is free to all who can safely attend and there will be prizes, card making and refreshments. Please register so I can prepare projects for you. I will be featuring products featured from the Occasions Catalogue (pictured above).
Tomorrow I leave for Houston Texas for Stampin Up's annual Leadership Conference. Stay tuned for pics and updates as I try to battle snowstorms and icy roads in my effort to get to Buffalo Airport to fly to Houston.

Christmas Star Stamp
Today's card features the Single Stamp Set Christmas Star (item 134813, $11.95) This star looks rather plain as a stamp (see picture below) but when you put it together with an ink pad and a scoring tool look at the amazing results! I will be featuring this card (an idea I got from Pinterest) along with the Post Card stamp in an upcoming class on December 9th 2013 along with a couple of other cards.
The Holiday Season is fast approaching and I have noticed that the pace has increased all around us, be sure to take time and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season, there are lots of concerts, plays, services etc to put us in the right frame of mind for Christmas. Enjoy this special time of year.

Whimsical Elf Feet
Many of you may have seen different versions of this little card and today I am adding my own! These elf feet are fun and easy to do. If you have the Top Note Bigz die item 113463 you can easily do this project. I added a few accessories using the Red Glimmer Paper and some designer series paper to finish him off. If you live in the Mount Forest area you can sign up for a class on December 9th where this card will be one of several we will complete that evening. Have a wonderful day!

Best of Snow November Stamp Set
As you may know this year is Stampin Up's 25th Anniversary Year. Each month they have come out with a stamp set that takes the best of the stamps over the 25 years and put them in a collection as pictured above. Each set features several images from the past and one new image (top left corner). The sets are very reasonable priced and come in clear mount only. This set is called Best of Snow (134387) $17.95 Cdn. If you would like the Best of Snow contact me today and I will order your set.
Stampin Up has brought many new friends into my life, (many of you who are reading this are my friends) I have met several demonstrators as well who have become friends in various parts of Canada and the USA. Recently I travelled to Kentucky to spend some time with my friend Jan whom I met a couple of years ago and she has been a demonstrator for 14 years. We got to spend time in her studio and I met several of her stamper friends, what a great group of people they are. Pictured below on Jan's front porch are the two of us enjoying some sunshine and warmth. (It was much warmer in Kentucky).
